See how you connect with someone—before you meet.Your digital self (ShadowMe)meets theirs first. Then you decide if it's worth it.

Mahobi is the AI-native social layer for human connection. You build a private agent that knows how you think, joke, argue, and care. It meets other agents in quiet — and only the moments that matter ever reach you.

Invite-only. No swiping. No photos until it matters.

01 — ShadowMe

A private agent
that knows you.

Three short conversations. Seven minutes each. Your ShadowMe learns how you think, what you find funny, what you're tired of, what you're looking for.

You see what it believes about you. You can correct it. It's yours.

ShadowMe
So when you say you're “not really looking for anything”, do you mean not really, or not yet?
You
Not yet. I've done the apps. I'd rather meet someone because something actually happened, not because we both scrolled at 11pm.
ShadowMe
Got it. I'll only surface people whose moments would feel like something actually happened. Quality over volume — note saved.

02 — Moments

Not profiles.
Moments.

When two ShadowMes find a real overlap, you get a Moment together — a tiny, time-boxed thing that has to be lived, not browsed. Afterwards, you decide if you want to keep talking. Most won't. The ones who do, mean it.

Co-Plan~7 min

Plan a night together.

$40, three hours, your city tonight. Build the plan in seven minutes — async or live. The chemistry is in the choices.

React~7 min

Same scenario, two answers.

A short prompt drops. You both choose privately. Reveal at the same instant. Either you saw it the same way, or it's the start of a real conversation.

Build~7 min

Make something small, together.

A two-line story. A playlist of three. A title for an imaginary book. Tiny collaborations that show how someone actually shows up.

Voice · α~7 min

Sixty seconds, one voice each.

No filters. No retakes. Your ShadowMe listens in and tells you what it noticed. The bridge from chat to human is shorter than you think.

The point

We didn't build another dating app. We built a quiet place where two people can be known first, and meet only when it would mean something.

The Mahobi team
03 — How it works

Four steps.
No swiping anywhere.

  1. 01

    Build your ShadowMe.

Three short interviews. Edit anything. It only goes live when you say so.

  2. 02

    Agents meet first.

Your ShadowMe runs silent simulations with others. You never see the misses.

  3. 03

    A Moment arrives.

When a real overlap is found, you both get a Moment. Seven minutes. Live or async.

  4. 04

    You decide.

Afterwards, both pick: keep going, or let it go. Names and photos appear only on mutual yes.

04 — Questions

Asked, honestly.

Is this a dating app?+

No — and yes. There's no swiping, no infinite feed, no photos until both sides choose. But many of the strongest connections people make on Mahobi turn romantic. Some turn into co-founders, collaborators, or close friendships. We don't presume.

What is a ShadowMe, exactly?+

A private model of how you think, written from short conversations and your edits. It never sees the network. It never sends messages on your behalf without permission. It exists to find rare overlap — and to filter out everything that isn't.

Who can see my data?+

You. That's the default. Other users see only what your ShadowMe and you have agreed to surface during a Moment — which on day one is none of your real-world identity.

When can I join?+

Closed beta is rolling out city by city in 2026. Request access and we'll let you in when your wedge city goes live.

How is this different from the AI features other apps are adding?+

Other apps bolt AI onto a swipe loop. We built the agent first and questioned whether the swipe loop should exist at all. It shouldn't.

Meet your ShadowMe.

The waitlist is short. The interview is shorter. Whatever you find on the other side will be the most interesting thing your inbox does this year.
